The Story Behind Sweet Rice

We didn't come to Ogunquit to open just another restaurant. We came because we fell in love with this town.

There was something about the ocean, the slower pace of life, and the warmth of the people that made us feel at home. It inspired us to bring a piece of Thailand here, not simply through recipes, but through the experience of sharing a meal.

Cooking has been part of our lives since we were young. Over the years, that passion became experience, and that experience became Sweet Rice.

Every dish is prepared fresh with carefully selected ingredients and the belief that good food has the power to bring people together.

We almost missed this place, and that would've been a huge mistake. Sweet Rice Thai Kitchen offers authentic Thai cuisine in Ogunquit. This is the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, enjoy your meal, and stay a little longer. Friendly service. and relaxing atmosphere. One of the best Thai local restaurants we've found during our trip to Maine.
