Ogunquit Restaurants: A Thai Dining Guide to Sweet Rice

Looking through Ogunquit restaurants is easier when you start with the meal you want. A quick lunch between coastal stops calls for a different plan than dinner with friends. Sweet Rice Thai Kitchen is a family-owned option for Thai food and seafood dishes at 309 Shore Road in Thompson Green Plaza.
Our kitchen grew from a love of cooking and a love of Ogunquit. We prepare dishes fresh with carefully selected ingredients, and we want the table to feel welcoming whether you live nearby or are visiting the Maine coast. This guide helps you decide what to order, when to come and how to fit the meal into your day.
Choose a restaurant around the meal you actually want
If you want familiar noodles, a bowl of curry or a meal with several different flavors to share, Thai cooking gives you room to explore. Sweet Rice's menu ranges from Chicken Satay and Tom Yum to Pad Thai, Khao Soi and seafood mains. You can build a meal around one favorite without ordering the same dish for everyone.
For a relaxed lunch
Choose a noodle plate or a soup bowl as your starting point. Pad Thai combines rice noodles, egg, bean sprouts, scallion and peanuts. Khao Soi is a more substantial northern Thai coconut curry bowl with egg noodles and crispy noodles. Read our Thai menu guide to compare the styles before you arrive.
For dinner with more to discover
Start with Chicken Satay or Sai Oua, then choose mains with different flavors. A noodle dish, a seafood curry and a side of rice offer a useful mix of textures. Our team can help you choose portions for your group and bring the order together.
Thai seafood gives the meal a different direction
Ogunquit dining is closely associated with seafood, but a coastal meal does not have to follow one format. Our Pad Pong Curry brings lobster, sea scallop and shrimp into an egg curry sauce. Crab Curry Noodles combine crab with rice noodles and turmeric curry paste. These are Thai dishes, rather than lobster rolls or a traditional seafood-shack menu.
